French press coffee has been a disappointment for me. Gave it a go over and over but mine never got what I would describe as tasty, perhaps just too strong. Another drawback is the amount of coffee bean consumption per pot. It takes a very coarse grind of about 24g per 300g of H2O.
The so-called pour over technique works to a treat once you get your ratios down.
