Crappy iPhone snap, and no coffee is in-frame, but there is a story: This is in
Trade & Lore, a fabulous new-ish coffee shop in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. It's run by a coffee artist, Lindsey, who used to be down here in Charlotte. Anyway, she has a lot of, um, art(?) on the walls -- framed three-dimensional still-lifes, and several have TLRs in them. I'm not a fan of using cameras as decorative tchotchkes, but these were Duaflexes, Argoflexes, and similar that are worth very little and are not much functional loss to the photographic community. On my way out, I noticed this loft above the loos (which are labeled, by the way, as a protest against North Carolina's odious
House Bill 2). Up in the loft was this distinctly non-tchotchke LF monster. I don't know LF so can't say what this thing is, but it is
very large -- 8x10 at least. Next time I'm in town, I'll have to visit again and chat up Lindsey to see what her connection to photography is.
If you're anywhere near Asheville, try out Trade & Lore. Lindsey's infusions and coffee cocktails are out of this world, and of course as to straight coffee, she is brewing some of the best. (I've no connection to the business; just a big fan of her work.)
