Camera and Coffee

Interesting - Zeiss Biogon 35mm f2.8 in screw-mount!

1946 coated Biogon. It is a terrific old lens. Maybe my favorite LTM.

I believe this is the lens that Robert Frank used to photograph 'The Americans'. I've never actually seen one before -- just the usual Jupiter 12 clones -- so any close-ups would be much appreciated.

PS. Including coffee, if possible 😉

The naked rear element is scary-cool, and handle-with-care. It must come within a millimeter or two of the shutter curtain.

I've only seen the Biogon in LTM a couple times (on RFF). Never in person. Do you have to reach into the front of the lens to change aperture?

Espressos at Granville Island - and a couple of 10mm f5.6 Heliar Hyper Wides. Leica Historical Society is having its annual meeting here in Vancouver and members are coming in every day. Yesterday it was our friend Ed and Julie from Vermont - and they needed double shots after the flight from Montreal.

I have to admit. I have not encountered a Zeiss SW before. So, this is an Ikon, but with an extra cold shoe on the top plate? That's neat. Still has a typical viewfinder with framelines for the usual suspects? (e.g., 35,50,90)

P.S. I hope we can see some example images from the 10/5.6
