Look what Leica and a good friend made me do:
I had an old first gen Leica MM which was my all time favorite every day use camera - the only one in my bag every day.
When that Leica MM's sensor died, I lost everything. And Leica... took that from me.
Stole that from me... *Killed that from me*! People keep asking if I'm back and I haven't really had an answer. But now, yeah, I'm thinkin' I'm back, using my old Nikon gear instead!
Nikon SP, F3 and FM3A and a Cortado at the local coffee shop in SH after a few rolls of exposed film:

Leica did similar to me in a digital way before the summer my sensor needed replaced so I was without a walkabout 'leisure' camera (My other Dslrs are Canon 1dxs for work too heavy!) picked up a Nikon Df love it! but it has led to a lot of buying of old Nikkors!!!

There is no too much in having old Nikkor lenses ;-)Leica did similar to me in a digital way before the summer my sensor needed replaced so I was without a walkabout 'leisure' camera (My other Dslrs are Canon 1dxs for work too heavy!) picked up a Nikon Df love it! but it has led to a lot of buying of old Nikkors!!!
You might want to try out a full matte focussing screen in your Df - I use the "S type" screens in both my old D3 and D800 and they are fantastic to manually focus those old lenses.

Thanks! You may recognize it, but the tattoo is based on the elements in the Summicron 35 pre-ASPH v4 lens. My favorite. And the morse code running through it says "focus on the beauty"

Great looking coffee, and beautiful cameras. Though it looks like the RF and the smaller SLR were just about to enjoy a coffee together when the F3 came in and said "HAY GUYS WHATS GOIN ON"

It's amazing how great the little FM3A (or any FM2 for that matter) works together with a Nikon rangefinder side by side.
How poetic - I like that. Thanks! You may recognize it, but the tattoo is based on the elements in the Summicron 35 pre-ASPH v4 lens. My favorite. And the morse code running through it says "focus on the beauty"

Sweet looking M2 and I like that aftermarket hood idea with E39 adapter. The M2 and the Cafe Breve were both exquisite. my Summitar is wearing an aftermarket hood and adapter. my Tom A. 15mm chrome Softie hadn't arrived yet![]()

I was lucky to find a rare swiss made contemporary conical aftermarket hood that screws directly into the Summitar's filter thread - but this rules out the use of filters unfortunately.
