If I wanted to be accurate, I should have switched bodies - 60s lens on 60s body / 70s lens with 70s body.

The strap in the picture was purchased by me, new off the shelf. The year was 1976, and I was a 13-year-old boy, with a home developing and enlarging lab, and a great passion for photography.

Snowy morning here in eastern Ontario. We got an early visit from winter a couple of days ago and we’re still expecting more. Hmm guess my motorcycle riding season is done….
But we have coffee - and cameras! So life’s not all bad.
Here are two products from the early 1960’s: First is an Anscomark M that I picked up a couple of months ago along with three lenses, a case and instruction manual. I’m sure I paid too much for it and it needed service but I’ve made peace with my little financial indiscretion. Really interesting camera — a kind of Raymond Loewy riff on an M2 with a bit of help from Ricoh. The built-in light meter works and is reasonably accurate, viewfinder and rangefinder are good, and Mr. Frank Marshman even made a set of strap lugs for it (the originals are very hard to find). Just waiting on some Kentmere 100 to arrive in the mail and we’ll see how it does.
The other 1960’s piece of design work is our GE percolator. I paid $5 for it at a yard sale a few years ago (maybe that makes up for the money spent on the Anscomark?). We use it every day it works well. What’s in it you ask? Half and half Nabob — yes we’ve stepped it up a little bit from Maxwell House.
Snow is still coming down — time for another cuppa.
