Camera and Coffee

We've had it for about a year. It's a great piece of machinery, though it takes slightly more frequent maintenance (or, rather, it's harder to avoid normal maintenance routines). The copper coiled pipe heating element requires a more specialized descaler (can't use vinegar), and I've noticed that it needs descaled more often. Not a big deal, really.

The question is whether the plate is shown to, uhm, scale ...
 
A new Sony! Radio that is: ICF-506 is an example of how Sony designers do "retro" though a modernist lens. I think most folk who have used a portable radio made since the 1950s would have no problems operating it. But under the hood, it's pure 21st century technology incorporating digital signal processing and zero alignment points, and nary a dial cord in sight.

Sony camera miniatures exist, but AFAIK, they were offered only in Japan as part of a promotion, and when they turn up on eBay, they generally sell for more $$ than I'm willing to pay.

It's my first time trying green tea with salted sakura blossoms: Pretty good, not overly salty, just enough to emphasize the tea's natural umami.

How could I resist a confection with a name like "Fuzzy Rock"? I think Korea must be the world's #1 producer of Xylitol. That's what these are: Xylitol crystals, with a hint of mint. Dunno that I would go out of my way to buy it again though.
