Camera and Coffee

In it's short life, this R2A has had three owners. I think it's finally found a home.

Cap'n, you're cooking with gas now!

Very nice. I see that you have slipped on an Industar Panda.

Yes I am! Sold the T and bought this baby! So far, I like! Nice to finally have a camera with framelines.

The I-61 is sort of a Panda. Its stripes are mostly rubbed off, but it still counts, I guess. 😀

The framelines do make a difference. What seemed interesting is that after some time you kind of take them for granted. Or, at least I did, and found that I had to remind myself to switch for the 85mm frame lines when I had the 90mm on.

Now you can take advantge of some M glass when the opportunity arrives.

Cool beans!

Ironically, that's why I sold the T! It had an M-mount as well, but I never used it. My intention was to sell it and get the R/35mm combo @ CameraQuest, but then this R2A came along in the Old Classifieds for the about the same price. Couldn't pass it up!

Come hell or high water I'm going to get some M-mount glass this time around! Might take me awhile to save up the money, but dammit I'm putting that mount to use if it kills me! 😀

except for that little nikkor...

Yowza! That is tiny.

Gonna have to get a 28 on my CL some day, too, but I have no clue when that will be.

Nice cameras, joe.

Look for a screwmount thin 90/4 Elmar. Pretty and compact lens; nice images to my eyes from my uncoated one although a postwar coated example is probably closer to your shooting style. Plus they go silly cheap 🙂

Are you going to use a finder with the 28 or just use the whole finder area and see how it goes?

Pity Steinhiel didn't make a 28... 😱

the teutonic part of the team...😉
Very nice, joe. Great shots too.

Why do I keep coming here? This thread is going to be the demise of my already crippled credit score.

Melanie,

It is a Koni-Omega Rapid 200. A 6x7 rangefinder camera that can use 120 or 220 film depending on which back is used.

It is a large rangefinder, but it looks small in my hands 🙂
