Actually it is my new Nikon S (just back from CLA) and the Nikkor H f/2.... and I am truley impressed by the quality of this old set from the early 50-ties. Great to own and use!

I should have measuerd the size of the image. the 24x34 gate is more obvious in black and white as the scanner gives liberal amounts of black at each end. Great set up and in spite of having S2/S3/S4 and SP's - I still like the S -BUT with a 50 finder on top. That peep hole is not easy to use. They are also built like no other Nikon! Congratulations on the new rig.

Well Tom, I actually cheated a little because I used Photoshop Elements to take away the characteristic black milimeters at the right and left side of the photo that you get when the lab scan a roll taken by the S 24X34 format in equipment meant for 34X36... otherwise it would have been too easy!

But I am impressed by the camera and lens given it´s age and the fact that it comes from the time when not even the 24X36 was fully established as the standard. Good suggestion on using a 50 finder -- I need to find a good one to use with the S!
