Camera Bag for the M8

Can anyone reccommend a camera bag that would fit an M8 with lens (35mm)attached that would also have room for one Telephoto lens (90mm) and Leica flash?

The Domke F5XB is indeed a good size. Another good choice is the Billingham S3 which is almost identical in size and layout but a bit more er, em, well, it's a Billingham...

If you just want all of that then I'd look at the Billingham L2.

Yes I was forgetting that the small hadley and the L2 are all pretty much the same size. The main difference is that the F5XB and the S3 have a double zip for the main compartment but the other 2 don't which means if your bag flips over your M8 and 35mm etc may have a nasty fall...

i used to live in port jefferson as a kid during the summers, that was when long island was mostly potato farma and not the vineyard country it is today.
my best bud lives in sayville now but we grew up together in queens.

Hi, I really like the bags that you can buy online from mclassics. Here is the link:

The bags are expensive, but they have some nice, yet simple features, and quite durable. They come in two colors all balck or black with Tan Trim. In addition, I can fit two cameras with lenses attached, plus two other lenses, a flash, film for the day, filters, and a few other miscellaneous items you might need.

They also have a pocket in the back where I usually fit very small books, or a magazine, or pieces of a newspaper.

I went for the Lowepro nova 4, medium sized bag for $60. Tony Rose has them.

I haven't seen others mention this bag, but I quite like the Lowepro Stealth Reporter D100 AW. It's very compact, yet I can fit my M8 with a lens (even a Noctilux) in the middle compartment, two more lenses on one side, and the charger (or light meter) on the other. Then, there are various shallow pockets for SD cards, filters, etc.

I suppose it's not mentioned often because it's not designed for rangefinders, but as I said, it works great with my M8 kit.

Billingham Hadley Pro. A little large for the config you mentioned but I really like the study handle, in addition to the shoulder strap, that Billingham put on this bag (but not the standard Hadley.) Colors available when I bought mine: tan or green.

Billingham Hadley Small, great bag for the M8 and 2 or 3 lenses, nice and compact, one complaint however. the strap slides of the shoulder too easely, I'll have to glue some velcro or other rough material on the inside of the strap, any suggestions ?

Billingham makes a snap on shoulder pad which will help. Comes in 1" 1.5" and 2" (below)

I use a Billingham-Leica bag when I'm only only carrying my camera outfit and a Billingham Hadley Pro for my daily commuting bag, since it'll fit my laptop and other assorted stuff.

The Leica-branded Billingham fits the body w/lens, plus another 3 lenses. I recycled one of my Domke short dividers and attached it diagonally to make two triangular lens compartments. For a small bag, I think it holds plenty and it's easy to get stuff in and out of. I also attached one of their external pouches to hold my Macro-Adapter.

I used LowePro Stealth Reporter bags (100 & 400, I think) when I was shooting with a DSLR. I thought they were great, but even the smallest one is a little big for me with an M outift.

I like the Hadley Pro also because of the previously mentioned handle and also because like the Domke messenger-type bag it doesn't look like a camera bag. Unlike the Domke it's got a fair amount of padding, though. I also like that they put a long strap on it so it can be slung across the chest.

Boy, do I love camera bags!

Hello Joe, Thanks for the suggestion, however, I have that shoulder pad from another Billingham bag and the inside rubber is even more slippery and slick than the strap itself, many times the bag has come sliding of my shoullder, reaching for a car door or tramping through an airport carrying other bags, so I'll have to glue something non-slip on the inside, I was thinking velcro.
Another bag that I have, a National Geographic bag , has a strap that will absolutely not slide , even on slick material.
Perhaps I'll look for something like that.
