One from today, I have to post, because of Monz.
Jack & Jones seems to be a good spot.

Street - Field Test Fuji X100 von oliverleschke auf Flickr
My intention was to shot the interaction, between the woman with the newspapers and the girls. Later I saw the smiley on the wall, behind them.

Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A LOT OF REALLY NICE WORK HERE!!!!!!!! There sure is a lot of talent on this site to say the least........... Street photography and all of its genres such as candid etc..... is to me, one of the highest forms of art and photography. I believe that capturing and documenting the essence of life on film is one of the greatest things a photographer can attempt to do. Unfortunately it's not in fashion with the current art world. TOO BAD...... as living life to it fullest never goes out of fashion!!!!!!!!!!!!! nor is capturing those great moments is! in my opinion....... - Kievman

Just some thoughts of what street means to ME:
"Street" does not mean random, off-kilter, grainy, out-of-focus shots without an apparent subject, that you have to look at for 15 minutes to "get."
"Street" does not mean wide shots of homeless people, or other normal people just going about their everyday boring business.
"Street" does not mean the day, the hour, the moment when...nothing happens.
"Street" is all about the day, the hour, the moment when something DOES happen, and you are ready, prepared, and quick enough (or thoughtful enough) to see it, process it in your mind, and snap the shutter.
My mentor told me of "feeling" when the picture was about to happen, rather than seeing it. To have "soft eyes," as he put it. Too many times "Street" is trying to hard to make something there that is not there. I might have a roll of film loaded into my Canon VI-L for a month, and only take 5 pictures.
"Street" is about patience, seeing whether it really IS a photo, knowing your camera so well that it is an extension of you.
Rules are meant to be broken, though, and that is when art is made.

Hi, just happened to notice these spots on this picture. I had similar on one of my rolls and i was wondering what are these spots? in other words what am I doing wrong when these spots appear on the negative? and can they be removed from the negative afterwards? Thanks.
Great shots on this thread, by the way..
