I still don't have my best ones up on Flickr. They're part of a new project, so those will have to wait. Here are a couple of older ones that I personally like.

Every person lives a different reality which is the product of the combined experiences we have lived. I personally see street photography as a means to capture a small glimpse of someone else's reality, and leave the interpretation to the viewer. Each viewer will in turn interpret the photo differently, according to their own experience (Which is to say, to me these shots are pretty ordinary sights, but to others they might not be so).

One of my favorites. Zorki 4, Industar 26M, f11 @ 1/250, Ilford FP4 in Ilfotec DD-X.

BTW, how do I get my attached images to show as large as those above?

street photography to me is capturing these quintessentially urban moments formed by the intersection of people and the built environment. this one I like because it conveys a sense of isolation in the midst of crowds which I think is very much part of people's experience. usually I'd find a shot like this too simple with too few elements in it and tend to stay away from shots with a single centered subject but the framing of the subway doors and subject works for me here.

Nightfly! Really like it :)

Post what you feel is your very best street shot. Only street photography please. And, in a couple of sentences, define what street photography means/is to you.

. . . . . as others have commented on, choosing one, and knowing if it is the best is a difficult request.

Street Photography is capturing people in a moment of their life . . . . . without being intrusive.

Talking with people on occasion, before, during, or after a shot is a skill I'm hoping to improve upon and interact with grace towards each individual I meet.
