Damned if I know why everyone calls these "street shots." Isn't it simply photography out in the world, as opposed to the studio or my kitchen table? Is it so weird people want to leave the house and look around them with a camera once in a while? Does it have to be a phony genre?

Some fantastic work here. Really fantastic.

For me, street is about taking something really is mundane and putting some meaning there that may or may not be there. Noticing the little things and being sensitive enough to capture it.

I enjoy street photography when you can capture a special moment, but I don't generally like taking photos of people I don't know, just because they're on the street.
