Can someone suggest a good hood for the Hexanon 35 UC?

I think this lens may have some odd thread pitch. I'd like a compact vented hood if possible. The original hood is pretty big given the size of the lens.

The lens has a 43mm filter thread at a pitch of 0.75mm. Cameraquest sell a 43mm short hood that is not vented but it works well on this lens. I tend to think that compact and vented don't go together when it comes to hoods.

Thanks Peter, I guess you're right, about compact vented hoods! I have the original hood and it is pretty big. I Checked out the CQ hoods and maybe that would do, but they seem pretty expensive.

You would note that the hood is virtually unused. The lens is very flare resistant. A 43mn filter is all all that it needs.

Thanks Hung - good idea, I have heard about the flare resistance and maybe just a good UV or Skylight filter is all that's needed to protect the glass. And the hood being in perfect condition is one of the reasons that I was looking for a replacement, I always seem to bang up hoods. 🙂
