Canon 5d MKII and Contax/Canon/ZE

Thank for all your replies.

It sounds to me that Canon L glass doesn't really lack anything to Contax/Zeiss/Leica. It seems to boil down to personal preferences, but mostly if one prefers Manual focus or Auto Focus.

I doubt that 5d will misfocus for my applications as it hasn't failed me the few times that I've used one so I'm probably going to go the Canon EF route. Probably Start with non-L glass and maybe L glass for my preferred focal lengths because a suite of L glass is a serious financial commitment and hard to justify for a hobbyist like myself.

Another Question:

Will all the current Canon lenses work fine with a film EF body? I love film, so using a film body with all my lenses would be pretty cool.

Canon EF lens were born for film cameras. They certainly work flawlessly on both of my EOS film bodies.
CAUTION: EF-S lenses are made for APS-C sensors only. They will not work on any full frame, film or digital, Canon camera.
