The biggest feature of the 7 that no one has mentioned as yet is the ability of the 7 and 7s to take the 50mm/f0.95 lens. It will not fit the P or any other Canon camera for that matter.
I LOVE this lens. Until you have shot with one of these things in light so dim it is hard to see even WITHOUT a camera, you will never know true happiness.
Of course, that is a bit of hyperbole but I'm really feelin' the love with my new setup.

I have seen a couple of comments in this thread that the P is worth more than the 7. Really? Seems to me that the 7 viewfinder in and of itself makes it worth more, dead meter or not. But I haven't been following the market.
Anyone have a fully working 7 they'd like to trade for -- well, let me know what you're interested in and maybe I have it?

leif, you say: "If you need to use an accessory finder for wider-than-35mm lenses, the Canon 7 is a pain as it does not have a shoe."
that's right, it does not have a built-in shoe but it made an accessory shoe that I have on my Canon 7, with a Canon 0.95 lens and canon case...Canon later updated the Canon 7 model and added a built-in accessory shoe...regards, bob [leica collector].

There is of course the fairly rare accessory shoe adaptor that was made for the 7. I believe there's one at www.kevincamera.com for $150... :bang: :bang: :bang: I'm going to have to buy some heavy styrene sheets and see if I can make one and then paint it silver
I'll admit it's the only annoyance for me with my 7. Otherwise it's as close to perfect as I can imagine a 35mm camera could be for myself.
