I realize that this camera is not a Leica or a LTM camera, but I

was hoping someone has experience with this model. The fast

lens caught my eye.

It's a bit noisy when advancing film, but otherwise seems OK.

Questions:

  1. How good is the lens at wide apertures?
  2. Other than the noise factor, is the autofocus and auto-exposure good enough for street shooting at wide apertures?
  3. I noticed that the programmed exposure system seems to shoot at slower shutter speeds than I'd prefer if I were shooting manually. Is there any way to overcome this?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

I have an AF35ML and was annoyed by the loud beep when shooting in low light.
So, I opened the top, cut off the flashes cables, isolated the cables and put the top back. When activating the flash, the camera seems to use always the same exposure time and change the aperture according to the ASA-number. So in low light I turn on the flash and set the ASA-dial to 25 to use the largest aperture. Thats not an elegant solution, but I hope to get examples soon.
