A friend's canonet has the problem of the film wind lever being engaged from the wind to the return. In essence, the frame gets advanced but the lever stays out, and when you gently guide it back to position, the white gear inside also rolls back, so the advanced portion retreats right back to where it was.
Everything else seems to be working, even the frame counter. There is one screw missing at the top on the right side just down from the film winder.
I apologize if this has already been addressed. I didn't find it if it has. Thanks in advance for your wisdom.
