Just curious as to the cost for a set of Titanium shutter curtains for S3 /SP bodies, (assuming that one could source them). Just the cost of the curtains, not the cost to install. Please and thank you.

If you have a junk Nikon F lying around you might be able to use the curtains from it. That is a guess as the F used the same shutter mechanism as the SP and the F had titanium curtains.

Sorry not yet. I got it just in case. I have a reissue S3 and SP, so they should be good for at least 50 years.

Always good to have a back up plan. I was wondering if the F curtains would worj as replacements on an S2?

Oy.
How difficult can this be?
Let me re-phrase the question, and perhaps I'll get the answer I'm looking for.
How much would one expect to pay for a set of new, never-used S3/SP titanium shutter curtains?
I am not talking about F curtains, but a set of rangefinder curtains.
Please and thank you.

Sorry to have misunderstood your original post. If you had of asked if $100.00 CAD was a fair price I would not have bothered to respond.

There's quite a few Nikon S2 cameras (even a few Nikon S cameras) out there installed with titanium shutter curtains from a Nikon F.

I have one of those Nikon S. Ken Ruth did the work. He had a donor F laying by. The "cost" of the curtains was immaterial compared to te cost of the work. It is a splendid camera, though.

I don't know - $100 seems high to me for a set of Ti curtains, new and unused or not. How would I distinguish "new and unused" from "removed from a $40 Nikon F and marked new and unused"?
