could you share some cv 15mm f4.5 images?

CV 15/4.5 at 5.6.
I'm happy with mine, but don't have any other really wide lenses to compare it with. Scale focusing it is a snap. Only complaints are that there's no easy way to mount a filter, not even at extra cost, and it's a little flare prone- but I'd guess anything this wide is.

It's exhilarating to have such a wide field, but it's also difficult to manage artistically, tough to use well and get good photos. There are some samples of so-so photos with thid lens in my RGG Gallery; just search the tech data. 🙂 I don't use the lens very much...

I have had this lens since the beginning of summer & can't say enough good things about it... These are the few shots I have uploaded:

There are a few CV 15/4.5 pics in the "Amsterdam" album in my gallery. A few more are attached to this post.

The 15/4.5 is a fun lens because it encourages creativity and spontaneity. It's a little slow at f/4.5 but that is my only complaint. As another RFF member once described it to me, "this lens is a storyteller".

Some excellent photos in this thread, BTW. Nice stuff.

The first thumbnail below is a photo of the Shakespeare & Compnay bookstore in Paris. The second is a shot of the interior of the Cathederal of Notre Dame, hand-held at 1/8 on 200 speed film.

I don't own one, but I would love to... I like it for events, borrowed one from friend to shoot the protest in Taipei.

No problem 😉

Attached are mine with the same lens on the same day and in the same place. Just a different CV body and film 😀

Great lens but I have the same issue with it as Dougg (and I talked about it with gcsk76 at coffee about a month before we took these photos at the protests). It's difficult to manage artistically. Because it's able to get "everything in" doesn't mean you should. Most images end up having either too much stuff and thus no focal point, theme, or central subject or too much empty space and both are difficult things to avoid.

Here is a quick flatbed scan of a CV 15mm shot. (I've adjusted it slightly in PS Elements 3.0 for dust.) I've made a few interesting shots with this lens and a lot of bad ones.

thanks for sharing guys,.
my friend lent me one
i am going to try it out
i hear that sometimes its hard to meter right coz its so wide (ie to have even illumination across the film plane)
heard it flares a bit too
anyone had these problems?

If you’re concerned consider the 12mm the fall-off is surprisingly little and given the FOV you end up with the sun in the frame a lot flare isn’t a problem, however your feet often are

Yes, I've had that problem. I was taking shots in bright contrasty sunlight (in Thailand), with Velvia (which is unforgiving), and because of the wide range of light levels in the shot it was often impossible to get any kind of decent exposure. Next time I'll try a more forgiving film, and will have to be more selective about the type of shots I use it for.

I haven't had much of a challenge using the lens. I love it. My shots might be a little on the cheesy side, but I like to play off of it's inherent faults to create images that cannot be created with other lenses. I don't have a problem with flare. What I do is aim the lens at the ground, taking the sky out of the viewfinder. Meter and use the exposure lock button on the back of my R3A. No problems at all so far. ALSO, I can forget that I'm set at 1m or infinity, and the photos always come out sharp.

Some of my favorites so far:

Oddly enough, I rarely use HC110, but maybe I'll start hitting it harder..
