Anybody has experience comparing the image quality between the two on a NEX camera?

I had the SEL16F28 when I first got my 5N. While sharp in the center, it sometimes smeared the corners very badly, even stopped down. Strangely it didn't seem to be aperture dependent. Even off a tripod it would smear corners sometimes.
I sold the 16 and picked up a CV15, which has given me stellar service. Sharper across the frame than the 16 & no smeared corners. Unfortunately I am one of those 5N owners that experiences color shift/vignetting with both the CV 15 and CV 21 (and probably with the 28 if I ever find one).
While it adds a couple of steps to the workflow (convert to DNG, CornerFix) it's a batch process and not so painful that I would shy away from these lenses.
Overall, for me, the CV 15 is a better choice.

Or in LR 4 use their own DNG FlatField plug-in for magenta WA corners.

You're probably just more discerning than other users. I find the ZM 21/4.5 to be the most problematic lens for the Nexes. Even on the 5N, I managed to see purple corners now. But this was for a gray-in-gray subject, and in 95% of all cases, it's not a problem anymore. The CV 15/4.5 is much less problematic. And with the ZM 28/2.8, I never even used Cornerfix or similiar software when using it on the Nex-5... I could see the color shift, but it never really mattered for most shots. On the 5N, the 28 is just fine...
