I took the m (yes the one with 2 defective pixels) out for a spin again yesterday and unless i get a whole bloody column of defective pixels or any other catastrophic failure, i'm gonna keep using it first until just before the warranty expires.

The day I opened up my M240 there were like six dead pixels. Not the end of the world. Especially considering there were six among 24 million. But it was still irritating. They only showed up above ISO 800 which was weird. Anything below was perfect. I sent it back to Leica anyway and they mapped it out. The thing is if you use Lightroom and RAW, you'll never notice because Lightroom will automatically correct any dead pixels on any camera. Which is why it's less of an issue these days. I remember using my M8 with Aperture I had like a dozen dead pixels. Eventually I switched to Lightroom. My M9 was seemingly perfect but I never noticed nor ever bothered to look for them in the nearly four years I had the camera.
