Well the holidays are fast approaching and I think it's time for us all to get together and enjoy a little holiday cheer!
I'm proposing we:
Heck, we can even throw some wandering around the city and shooting if we like!
I was thinking about Saturday December 17th or Sunday the 18th. Thoughts?
I'm proposing we:
- Take in the Francesca Woodman exhibit at the SF Moma.
- Enjoy some holiday drinks and munchies together.
- Have a little sub $20 "Secret Santa" gift exchange (photographic), just for fun!

So far those are good days for me. A Satrurday is usually better. I think Bingley will be back from Austria by then. DAG should have sent me my "hot rodded" 0.58 M6 by then so I'll bring that...or not. The City will be a zoo the week before XMAS, a treat for you people shooters I know...what about Berkeley-Emeryville as a meeting place?

It looks like either day would work for me. Like the idea of a "Secret Santa" pornographic gift.

Unfortunately, I'm booked solid that weekend and won't be able to make it, in part a consequnce of the fact that I'm in Austria through next Monday, and will have family arriving on the 18th. Lots to do when I get home. So, drink some schnapps for me and I'll catch up w/ you guys in the new year. BTW, it's snowing in Salzburg as I write this.

Enjoy Salzburg Steve... what an adventure. Looking forward to some terrific pics from your journey.
Bob- Looking forward to seeing that sweet M6! Personally, for this meetup, I prefer SF as it is a "target rich environment" not only for people but also for decorations etc... Others can certainly weigh in with their preferences.
Saturday is probably a little better for me though either day is just fine.

As long as the porn was taken with a Leica it's certainly fair game. I know Mike has been working on a nice "Rest Stop Peephole" series and I wouldn't be surprised if he gives away a Blurb book on the subject. Has he returned from his visit with Grandpa Sandusky?

You know Mike. What happens in Marin, stays in Marin.

I need another 50 like a hole in the head but I love the size of those little VCs. Seeing your Color Skopars at all our get togethers hasn't helped Steve
Should be a cool little lens!

The worst part of it is that it is now going to make it impossible to resist trying out a Barnack body next year.

Sheesh Kent, "Rest Stop Peephole" series? That is so 1980's. My current video book covers my "Rest Stop Gloryhole" series. I used a noctilux on a sony Nex-5 with hawk adapter for some sweet video close-ups. Some seriously painterly-bokehey-artisty-moody-emo stuff. Only downside of the close-ups was sending the noctilux to Sherry cause the focus and aperture were getting sticky.
In the meantime, I'll bring my F2 and 50mm on the 17th which can better deal with liquids of any sort. And Kent and Darren, I'll remember to bring a list of the g.h. sites that the two of you keep asking about.

Robert, the correct Marin motto is- "What happens in Marin hottubs, stays in Marin hottubs.....until they are drained."

The greatest compiment I can give the 50mm f2.5 Skopar is that I sold mine to Jamie P. almost a year ago and he, to my knowledge, still has it.

That might be a new record for Jamie, it must be good!
