Actually I keep thinking that mounting a sensor on a Kiev back would be really quite easy... Nothing too fancy, just the guts from a $30 wonder from Walgreens, a hacksaw and a bit of glue; might just have to try it someday.

Some time ago, on German Ebay the reverse of that idea was on sale - a digital P&S with the lens sawed off, and a Pentax K-mount bayonet glued on - according to the seller, the combo worked, too!

The digital kiev is similar to the project I have started using an old Zorki. I started the the homebrew digital rangefinder thread some time ago to chronical this project.
