Digital or Film? Post Yours Let's Guess

If you're looking for EXIF data, then you're not honoring the spirit of the posts. If I post something, I'll purposefully change the EXIF data (very easy to do).

I will guess both the man in the hat and the wall are digital.

Todd's two top images (without exif) are obviously oversharpened. If they're film, they're post-processed.
Black woman - look at the highlights on the face.

I enjoy playing - even though I am more often wrong than right.

Ray - I guessed digital before you revealed it to be so.
fdigital - digital
350D_user - film
Honus - This was film (Tri-X @ 1600 stand developed for 2 hrs. in 100+1 Rodinal  )
Todd - Top to bottom: film, digital, film
ManGo - digital

If I am 100% wrong, I will claim dyslexia :D

I'll own up... my offering was 100% digital. By the time I'd taken this photo, my output was nearly 75% b+w conversions. The EXIF information was stripped from the photo. The replies from others surprise me, I thought mine would've been nailed as 100% digital right from the start. Hmm.

As to why I instantly head for the EXIF data, if present, blame the analyst in me. Given a problem, I'll instantly look for all possible reasons. And after a 10-day shift, it's not easy to not do that.

... that's my excuse anyway.

I guessed right then :)
What prompted me to guess digital was the noise pattern in the shadows (for example, the entire top of the picture)

Heh, I guess digital noise just cannot emulate film grain... computers are still too predictable, compared to real-world physics/nature. :)

What about this?
I'll say "film", and guess that the filmscanner couldn't handle the tonechange on the framework of the door... there's a block of uniform shade there.

For the picture of the girl - yes it was a canon 30d.

All the rest have been covered - Lament - that ones film aint it?

Girl with the Guitar

Interesting shot. Nice. Is this a crop? Can you get a little more of the girl on the left? I'm hitless so far, but I'll guess that this is digital. Focus is on the the cup in the foreground which makes her soft and that "grain" in the background is a tough call. It looks like film, but I've seen it in digital in underexposed areas.

:)

Looks a little sharp which complicates calling this one. The washed out "exterior" is all I have to go on. Hard to tell, but it looks like something film shoud've been able to handle. I'm going to go with digital.

Todd.. From the top film, film, digital

you got it! the top two are Velvia, cross processed...the last one is digital, if you looked at the exif you cheated ;)

cross processed, not post processed, over sharpened...not really.

Where do you get your cross processing done? I have some Velvia left that I'd like to do.
