This is the correct answer.
I grew up about 30 miles south and always took the Bobcat Bite for granted. Life just isn't the same anymore.

No, Blake's is still everywhere in NM. We live in Philly now so the access to green chile is limited, at best. I think we have one more frozen bag of very hot chile that we roasted and bagged ourselves back in fall, 2015. Interesting note, I built Blake Chanslor and his wife a pair of expensive folding bicycles back in 1996 or very early 1997. They were taking a long around-the-US RV trip and wanted the bikes for easy storage. I seem to recall that everyone in the shop got free lotacombos.

Oh dear, I miss chile verde. This year, Bethanne and I will be in school all during the chile roasting season so we're going to pay/bribe my little sister and her husband to buy us 40lb of hot chile, have them roasted then fresh bag them. We'll have them overnighted out here to Philly and will freeze them. 20lb per year just isn't enough!

Ya just can't get green chili's like ya can in NM. Rancho de Chimayo for lunch on the high road to Taos. Don't get better than that.

Pepe's in Key West has a fine breakfast though.

That one was an almost-missed one. It was a "Hold it! Turn off! Now! Please! Quick!" thing somewhere by Iowa City IIRC. I doubt if I could find it again. That tower kinda peeked out above the trees.

Here's another vintage diner, still open. I do have a number of "diners and dives" photos if I can find them all.
