Hi again,

i decide to put a new screen protector on the Display.
But there is no chance to removal the old once.

Is it right that Epson did a antireflextion foil on the Display that looks like a protection foil ?

It looks like a foil, but i cant remove it. It must be ex factory

No foil on mine, I believe they came without. Am contemplating adding a shield however.

It is long ago that my R-D 1 was new! But I seem to remember that the LCD came covered with a slightly cloudy plastic film cover over it. I assumed it was to protect the glossy surface from scratches during manufacturing and that it was meant to be peeled off by the user.

Often it is hard to grasp these, but it should come off fairly easily once you can grip it. If yours will not remove, it may be something else...?

Aaah, but that's a different type of foil altogether. May even have been added after a CLA.

I think you are talking about the plastic protection layer on the LCD screen. Actually it's a high-transparency layer with some kind of coating on it. It's supposed to be tightly sticking to the LCD screen forever.

When I purchased my R-d1s brand new, on top of this protection layer, there is another very thin plastic foil that can be easily removed.
