disturbing news about a rff member...

Well what can I say ... many thanks for all the kind wishes, for a reserved yorkshireman it's all been a bit embarrassing to be on the receiving end of such goodwill. However it was a great comfort to learn of everyones response through some very dark times a couple of weeks ago

I'm home now, recovering somewhat, and hope to improve further over the next few weeks. Sadly I'm stuck with the condition and I will have a reduced life expectancy because of it. I'll be reliant on prompt action when it flares up and palliative care the rest of the time to minimise the symptoms, I intend carrying on as close to normal as I can ... although I may well be more mellow online now you never know

glad to hear that you're home...that must be a comfort in itself.
i've missed your humour and unique perspective here.

Wonderful to see you back here as well as at home and on the mend. Prayers answered!

Hang in there and get back in here when you are able. You are missed.

... yes, you get to know what's important to you ... and learn that there is always someone worse off than oneself

So true.
Welcome back, Stewart. You've been missed.

We never know long we have, best to make the most of every moment; cherish life, cherish time, and do what matters most whenever you can.

Glad you're back home Stewart, sorry to hear it's ongoing, I know that can be difficult. Sending positive energy your way.

Best,
-Tim

Good luck to you Stewart, and glad that you are feeling better. Having been diagnosed with CHF and dilated cardiomyopathy, as well as having several blocked arteries myself several years ago, I find myself in a similar straights. But with medication and lifestyle changes, my situation has improved dramatically, and while I will never really be "back to normal", I have become adjusted to my "new" normal. Take your time, take your medicine, and do what the doctor suggests and I am certain that you will continue to feel better.

Wow! I'm so glad that you are back, and out of immediate danger. Keep your spirit high and you will out live us all.

Don't even suggest it!

Glad to hear you're home, I hope you enjoy steady progress in your recovery. I bet your family is happy to have you back at home for the holidays.
