I did not have a Ford Falcon, but I drove an AMC Hornet! I always had in the car some carburetor cleaning spray to get the Hornet to start again after one of its many sudden deaths. It had a sleek 6 cylinder engine, and it could accelerate quite well.

A student in my class then called it "Blue $hit". It was blue ...

Raid,

The most unusual car I ever owned was a 1980 Checker "Limo." Like the cabs built on a chevy pickup chassis, my limo was about a foot longer in body and wheelbase than a Checker cab and had twin bench jumpseats for 9 passenger capability. The grill was chromed, it had a black vinyl top, and opera windows and was a dark blue in color. Only about 200 limos were ever made so I owned a very rare car that was loud like me and turned heads. Never saw another one.

Checkers featured Chevy engines and mine was a V-8 with a posi rear.

Interesting poll. I hope it helps arm you with good info for your talk. Will you keep us informed about how it goes?

Also, I know you didn't ask how many Leica's we own, but I wanna share anyway - I've got 4 M4's. I've owned Leica rangefinders of all kinds since I was 15. That makes 30 years of ownership.

Two Leicas: A IIIf + 3 lenses and an M4-P + 3 lenses. I learned photography on the IIIf; with a collapsible 50mm lens it's a perfect carry-everywhere camera. The M4-P speaks for itself. Leicas are anti-capitalist because they were built to last.

I own a M3 with 50mm Summicron IV, tabbed, but i'm getting ready to sell. Can't justify the $$ tied up in it. I actually prefer using small SLRs for street.

I own three Leica's: one M7 a la carte; one M6 TTL and one M6 Millennium Edition. I am planning to sell the M7 a la carte which you can see here:

If anyone interested, please let me know and we'll do the transaction through the RFF 'classifieds' page.

Cheers, PW

I opened your link and it took my breath away... What a beautiful machine that is!

Cheers,

Antonio

I own two film Leicas, having sold one recently. Have not used them in years. No interest in the digital Leicas. I prefer AF these days. Will not be selling my remaining film Leicas though since I have a sentimental attachment. I used them for a lot of my past exhibitions and published work. The lenses I still use occasionally on mirrorless.
