Do you know camera quest?

I have purchased three bodies and five lenses from CameraQuest with no problems whatsoever. Stephen is top notch! His obvious passion for photography spills over into the service he gives. I would not to hesitate to purchase from him again.

Do wish he'd get his website sorted, though.

As a web designer, I can say it's definitely lost him sales - not to mention making me blench every time I visit it.

There's a wealth of information on it, but t's so poorly organised that I've resorted to Googling his website pages as that's often quicker than trying to navigate it manually...

That said, it's better than Luigi's ... http://www.leicatime.com/, which is looking quite sedate at present!

I bought a lens from him , I would buy more often if I had more money to spend, with that said Cameraquest is great to deal with but his website could use a bit of an update. Its such a great resource outside of just being able to buy stuff.

I have made several purchases thru Cameraquest and find Stephen to be the best vendor to deal with...followed closely by Tony at Popflash). I have had 100% satisfactory transactions with him.

Best regards,

Bob

Yep, I have ordered from him and it was super. No problems at all and really, it's not that difficult to order. It's just sort of old school.

Eyal,

I have to agree with Bob, Stephen is the best and followed closely by Tony. I've purchased four or five cameras from Stephen, I think four lenses and I can tell you he stands behind his product very well. I've purchased two cameras (GRD & GRD III) and have to say he is right up there. I even sent a camera I bought on EvilBay directly to Stephen for CLA (with his permission before I did it) and it worked GREAT, saved me about $20.

I don't find it a PITA that there is no cart or check out. I'd rather deal with him via email, for me it just feels better.

Yesterday, recieved my two lenses. Ordering was straight forward, and I wonder what all the fuss is about not having a cart.

I'm a very happy customer and glad to support one of our sponsors.

If you checked Steve's feedback on any offered item on EBAY you will see he has had several thousands of transactions and not one negative feedback. He maintains a ranking of 100% positive feedback.

I've purchased several items from CQ going back to before Stephen owned RFF.(In fact, I blame CQ for my early bouts of the cursed RF GAS.) :) While it is odd to have to calculate your own shipping and tax (California resident) and pay via PayPal, the experience has always been a satisfactory one (unlike some of the other 'featured' advertisers on RFF). It would be nice to have a cart system though. I really do not like how the credit card option is handled on CQ.

Cameraquest provides excellent service. Their website is deliberately horrible, so as to discourage all but the most committed customers. I believe KEH has now discovered this winning strategy, and is trying the same.

+ 1 for Stephen and CameraQuest. I have purchased several lenses directly through the CameraQuest site and his listings on eBay. He is the most knowledgeable when it comes to Voigtlander, is very responsive with e-mails, has the best/fairest prices for gear, and will work with you if you have special requests . . . and per his script--the only qualified tech(s) for repair in the US. All that and the historical information on his site is an invaluable bonus.
