I have posted to the gallery but find it is too much work to get the digital image down to the rather small file size. Flickr and other sites far more user friendly.

I've kind of quit posting online in general. I'm focused on making a bodies of work and books. I show my works in progress to people in person.
I always wonder guys how do you manage to count for thousand of posts here in RFF. I am struggling to reach the 200 😱
And I almost read RFF every day.
I'm here because of the overall high information, quality and discussion level, compared to other photographic fora. My picture publishing workflow is already complicated enough (home server version, photo site version, sometimes different print versions) and the gallery here would add one step more of complexity.
I did (and will do) publish pictures here, but only if strictly related to a thread, where the pictures should remain together with the text, eg. a disassembling instruction.
The new gallery has better options than the old one, but it is still too additional manual mailing to get all my lenses into the gallery DB.
