I just realized that unless I'm using a long lens, I shoot with just one hand.
Granted, from long habit I'm almost always prefocused and preset.
The realization came as I was walking the new puppy, leash in one hand and camera in the other, that the restriction wasn't a problem.
No big deal - just thought I would note it.

It depends on the camera, the situation, what is in my other hand, etc. I shoot both ways.

depends on the aperture i'm using, if i'm going for hyperfocal one hand is enough, if i'm shooting at wider apertures i need my other hand to focus

Usually both hands but as a fellow dog owner, I also try to keep a good one-handed camera around. Currently a Ricoh R1.

I normally use two hands as I consider that more stable, that is, less camera shake. But if the circumstances seem to favor it, I don't mind one hand, at least with SLR. I don't think I have tried it with an RF. I am personally not a big fan of prefocus, but again, depends on the circumstances.

Two hands most of the time even if the lens is short. One hand if I need use of the other hand for something else.
Sometimes one-handed if I try to sneak a shot and need to look like I'm not taking a photo (my nephew is camera shy).

I usually shoot with two, but a plus of using Nikon rangefinders is, at least with the 50's and wide angels, I can focus and shoot with my left hand free, even at wide apertures (also a dog owner)

I prefer two hands for stability but now I have the X100 I can loosen up a little and go one handed

Always 2 hands unless the camera is on a tripod, etc.
Didn't realize that so many only used 1 hand. Probably accounts for sales of wrist straps.

Both hands always no matter which lens...for added support I lean against anything that will hold me, if I can...

The only lens which allowed me to shot with one hand is the snapshot-skopar.

Randy, sorry to hear about your arm!
I shoot always with two hands and any other support I can find, as well.
