Do you use contrast Filter

I'm waiting for a medium yellow filter from KEH this morning. My collapsible 'cron could occasionally use a little boost. I have a wide range of filters for my Rollei MX, my Contax Sonnar 50/1.5, and my Nikon SLRs. Now I just need to learn their finer points.

I voted sometimes but actually very rarely. I will use a yellow or red for blue sky sometimes and I use them for color separation when there is a lot of foliage, but most of my shots are streets scenes and urban still lifes so I don't need them. If I want more contrast I go with slower film or extended development or both.

Sometimes, either a yellow (022) or red (090 I think?) for specific colour separation when I feel the need. If I'm heading out, I'll slip one or both of them in my pocket (usually the red), very rarely on the lens from the get go.

i pretty much only take my yellow filters off when i'm shooting color.

For BW, I use a medium yellow almost always. I occasionally will use a yellow-green. I would use a y/g more often if I had that color in appropriate sizes for more of my lenses. I own orange and red filters but rarely need that much additional contrast.
With color film and my SLR, I use a polarizer most often.

My answer is yes, but I also sometimes use the graduated yellow filter (to get the sky darker but the rest of a frame, where usually people are, is not).
