I've ordered a roll through DecisiveMoment in Melbourne, should be here next week. Looking forward to comparing it to other emulsions.

Many thanks to all who post samples from the fresh batch. I find the results very encouraging. My lab guy had me scared that the new Ektachrome was going to be rubbish. I 'll try it myself once it becomes available locally.

Rubbish?? Far from it. Still waiting for slides to compare to the scans, but here's one more E100:

I got my second roll back today. It's even better than the first. I'll scan some later.. If it weren't so expensive, it could be one of my new favorites, but i'll probably stick to c41 due to cost.

It will be interesting to see consumer reaction.
I anticipate accurate rendition and muted colors.
Will customers want something more "vivid"?
And will Kodak tweak it based on reviews?

Lynn, sure, that was as scanned by the lab. Here's one version after auto colour correct in Photoshop. Will have to check the slide when I get it back to see if the color was from the scan or the slide itself.

You must be from around here, yes! Here's another one from the area with E100 fall colours. Also F6 and Nikkor 10.5cm f2.5 P.

These are great and it is wonderful that you guys are posting!

In an effort to provide long-term organization of posting the new Ektachrome images, can we use this thread

Yeah, $13 a roll is a very steep price to pay. It's the same as Provia 100, but then again, I dont shoot that film due to its high price too. You can get 3 rolls of Fujifilm 200 for $100. Maybe not as fine grained as Provia/Ektachrome, but for that price I'll easily sacrifice some grain for cost.

You didn't mean 3 rolls for $100, did you?

Has anyone ever tried to process a kodachrome (k14) film using the Ektachrome process?
