Ektachrome update?

Just stopped in my local shop for darkroom supplies, and was talked into picking up a few rolls—they just got them in this morning. After scanning some old E100 this morning, I couldn't resist!

$11 here in Seattle (Glazer's), 35 only so far, but they're planning on stocking 120 and 8mm.

I ordered mine from Freestyle: out of stock will be in mail after October 16th.

Edit: it has been mailed from freestyle (10-10-2018), I'll be able to use it on upcoming trip. $12.99 from Freestyle plus CA tax.

I've got 5 rolls coming from Glazer's in Seattle.

Glazer's called me on the phone today to tell me that they were holding the 5 rolls I had requested. I then made the purchase over the phone.

Pre-ordered from Freestyle a few weeks ago, got an email this morning saying they shipped it. Pretty excited.

Best,

Freestyle said they were out until October 16, 2018 but I just received my roll today just in time for a couple of mini vacations. Will post when I get the results back.

At this time I would settle just for a photo of the box and canister ;)

Most European dealers have end of November as the date of availability of Ektachrome here...

And to prove I have it in my hot little hands, here's about half my haul from this week.

Box and canister look almost exactly the same (minus the G/VS icon). Looks like the cine film will have a retro style box.

It may be a long wait. This is from Michael Raso of FPP:

"Thank you for being part of this amazingly successful re-launch of Kodak Ektachome. Kodak is currently allocating film to Kodak partners all over the globe. This process means that all retailers will get rolls of Kodak Ektachrome. Unfortunately, this means that we, The FPP (and I'm guessing other US outlets) will run out of rolls to fulfill our pre-orders. We have shipped 1,000 rolls of Ektachrome this past week alone and are anxiously awaiting new inventory from Kodak. We've just received notice that the demand has exceeded the supply and that our next batch (scheduled for this week - October 15th) has been delayed one month."

So, the new Ektachrome is a big hit.
