With the rush away from incandescent lights - 100 watt ones are supposed to disappear next January - are you stocking up on safelight bulbs, enlarger bulbs, etc. or do you think they will still be available?
What? I'm going to be forced to buy compact fluorescent bulbs? WTF? This is getting ridiculous- I'll have to use an inferior lightsource, but Exxon can continue to be subsidized.
Yup after all the fuss about 625 batteries and their mercury, we are now encouraged to use lamps with more mercury in them.
In UK I think it depends on what company gives backhanders to the political parties!!!

I will stock up on bulb lights for enlarger. The biggest problem for photographer is the different emission spectrum of the mercury-containing safety lights. Gradiation control filters won't work anymore or have to be changed. For everybody doing conventional wet-printing it will be challenging. Other than that this kind of energy-saving lamps makes as much sense as nuclear power plants ...
