EOS M growing on me

The results on this page (and every time it comes up) always make me really tempted by the M, sadly I'm yet to find the M with the 22, and the adapter for a reasonable price (knowing what it was selling for in the US has skewed my hopes I think haha).

I bought in right at the end of the big sale. Got a 22 and the EF adapter.

Excellent build quality, excellent imagery, and all-around great value. Yet, I just don't use it very much. I often think of selling it and then one of these threads pop up... I think I'll take it off the shelf tomorrow.

I was leaning towards listing my kit, but recalled I shot video with it this past Xmas. Upon review of that video, and its resale value -it looks like the M will be a keeper at this point.

It is tough. As mentioned elsewhere, great camera. Beautiful images, really well made, system buy-in was not exorbitant and I can use EF glass with my adapter. I don't shoot video in practice, but this did the trick and did it well. There is genuinely little to complain about ... Maybe just the menus for me. Yet, it is not a camera that has overly endeared itself to me. It just lacks a bit of personality. But, for what I could sell it for -I might as well just keep it... In fact, I think I will pick up the 18-55. LOL

Luckily, you can pick one up real cheap...

Heck, KEH has been selling the 22/2 for under $100.

Mine is on the way, I'm really looking forward to having a play with it, and that 22mm lens really is something special.

I'm not remotely bothered about the lack of flash (to be honest I consider it a bonus, I wouldn't be using one with the M, and leaving it out saves on size and weight).

Over one year on and I still use it regularly. I think it is a mostly wonderful little camera.

me too. it's my most used around the house camera, and still gets used outside of the house as well when i want to avoid using an intimidating camera.

The camera feels great in the hand, the sensor is great, the 22m lens is special.

The AF with the 22mm though, has anybody found a way to speed it up? or what combination of settings is the fastest?

I want so much to love this camera, but that AF isn't cutting it enough to make it into camera bags often.
