Epson V800 120 Film Holders

Has anyone had the problem of 120 film not fitting in the film holders?
The clips close over and crumple the film, and i don't want to cut my film down to two shots so that i can scan.

Also, i think it's cutting off the bottom edge of the film when scanning.

Does anyone know of a third party option, other than better scanning holders?

Yes, it's a design flaw, but here's what Epson says:

I spoke to Epson UK about this very problem last week, as I have been thinking about buying a V800/850. They told me that the holder has been redesigned and that if I found that a new scanner had the original holders that I could ask for the redesigned replacements. I tried to find out just what had been changed, but didn't very far with that. They are aware of the problem and seem to have acted to sort this out.

Nothing seems to have been sorted out though. The film doesn't fit in the holders. Shouldn't have to purchase a third party holder if they supply a faulty product.
