A week from tomorrow David...October 15.
My plans for riding my bicycle down there are slowly coming into focus. One wrinkle is the lack of a good camping spot, or even a hotel within walking/safe bicycling distance of the venue. Who knows...I may have to excercise squatters rights or somesuch.

Hey, where is everybody else? If we can ride a bike and get a wheelchair there, what's the prob?😛
I know, schedules are tough and just getting there is a stretch for us but we will at least have a chance to get out of these four walls.

Looks like I-85 all the way to exit 60 (101).
Turn N on 101 and the first left (N Jones Rd.) appears to be the main entrance.

You'll see the Zentrum from I-85, before you get to the exit. I don't know the exit number, but it's US Highway 101 at Greer SC.
Googlemaps will help you too. Just hit "directions" type in your address and in the "To" portion just type BMW and you'll probably get BMW Performance Center within 3 or 4 characters.

Now, the BMW Performance Center is a bit further down Hwy 101 (from I85) than the factory grounds where the car show will be located. Exit 60, I85 at hwy 101 toward Greer. The entrance to the plant will be on your left--maybe a quarter mile from the interstate, and I think it is the second traffic light.

Talked to Barry (blw) on the phone this morning. He's over 1/2 way there, riding his bike! He's a better man than I am😀 As of right now I'm planned on leaving in the morning. There is a Nascar race in Charlotte this weekend but morning traffic on I-85 should be fine...I hope.😱
