Chillin' in Geneva
2 photos from home, something different.
My daughter's second photograph (first was of me with my head cut off), of her mama in the garden. Every two-point-five year old should understand rule of thirds...
Next is (shhhh) from an Olympus 4040, also from our garden. Yes, it's digital. Yes, it's "point and shoot". But back off, man, I used the optical viewfinder, okay?
Third is Zora Mae (our daughter) and her friend Barrow. Zora was preparing for her trip to Montreal with her new beret.

I like your shot, Raid. It has a very beachy feeling to it. I mean, the ocean experience comes through the image well.
Great family pic. Lots of artistic value as well as family record value.

Joe, that Jupiter looks really nice. Well done on the exposure there.

Thanks. I aimed at such a look by using a film like EFKE with a rangefinder camera.

I don't know which joy of a catch is greater; yours in the avatar or your son's.

Thanks sincerely, George. I'll add that the J-3 is one of my more prized finds. So far, I think it's in calibration.
Some excellent photos here; it's nice to see that "family snapshots" can also move others outside of the family. Raid: I really like that "EFKE effect"; I've got to look into that. Any special dev details? I also really dig the grain in the "catch" photo; dadsm3: what film, might I ask?
Cheers,
--joe.

Joe: I had the film commercially developed. They use a general applications type developer (Ilford).

Brett that's a great shot of your nieces not posing nicely for the camera!
