XA. It's not just the XA's small size, it's the way the rounded body fits comfortably into, and is easy to get out of, a pocket. The aperture priority auto makes it very quick to operate.

For me:
Rollei AFM35 [aka Fuji Klasse]
But I've had and liked:
Olympus Mju II [aka Stylus Epic].
Kodak Retina IIc [compact but heavy, excellent lens]
Olympus XA [not mad keen on the lens on these, but they are tiny]

Film, precisely focusable: My XA, before the rangefinder patch went all faint on me.
Film, Scale Focus: The Minox 35ML is pretty small, but i actually prefer a Kodak Retina I folder.
Film, Medium Format: I have been known to carry my 6x8 "Kodak Folding Autographic Brownie No.2" in my pocket.
Digital: Either my new-to-me Pentax W90 or Pentax Optio A40.

Personally, I would not describe any 35mm as pocketable - but I have a Minox B and LX (and a Pentax 110, if there only were any decent film for it) for whenever I need a pocketable film camera.

Used to be a Rollei 35S but lately it has been my iPhone 4. I do need a new pocketable. Nikon 28ti or 35ti?

Film; My Olympus VF Pen standard (first model)
Digital; I don't know much about digital, I have a Olympus E-410, it makes a fairly good meter for my film cameras.

There is pretty decent film for the pentax 110! I'm having great fun with the lomography tiger film. However if you want to get away from the Lomo stuff theres that fukatsu 110 also.
My pocketable camera would be XA, XA2, LC-A, Holga Micro 110, or Vivitar UWS.

Mmmmmh, so far besides the Rollei 35, which I have and honestly don't like too much it seems that Contax T3, Olympus XA (which I also don't like too much) and Ricoh are the names which appear all the time. Then I though that maybe I should try to trade my Rollei (or maybe not because it is a Singapore version and maybe I wouldn't get too much) for a Contax or or Ricoh. I then checked a bit about Ricoh, both in film and digital version when I found that there existed also a Ricoh GR21, does anyone know how the two (GR1 and GR21) compare?
