I just returned from a 5 days holidays in Liguria, Italy. This was my first holiday "with the M6". I really have to say that i love the Voigtländer Color Skopar 35mm for it's compactness. I also had my 5D with me but used it only for about 10 shots because it's just to huge for any kind of street photography. With the M6 i did 7 Rolls of BW400CN which i scanned with my Reflecta Proscan. I hope you like the pictures.

Like number one in particular - very retro! I've just started using exactly the same camera/lens combo and I love it - the lens is fantastic and the camera and lens together are the perfect size and weight to carry around all day. I leave my DSLR at home a lot of the time now as well - just too bulky and unwieldy by comparison.

Enjoy!

Amen to that. I have "only" a 20D but between it and the required lenses and a bag to fit it all, it's a lot more cumbersome and a drag compared to an M6 and 3-4 lenses in a small hip bag. Since we travel a lot of the time by rail, coach or other public transportation, the smaller the camera outfit I can carry and still give me the flexibility I want, the better. We went on a trip not long ago and I had the 20D and a couple of zooms and one fast prime, and we had to take trains and subways a lot and I just locked the whole shebang in the hotel safe and used my wife's Canon S80, which has its limitations. Not to mention her look and comment as I "borrowed" her camera and left $1500 of equipment I "just had to have" back in the hotel 😡

Guido: You have very nice photos here. Traveling light is important when it comes to street photography with your family present. I used a Minox GT and a Rolleiflex TLR in my last Italy family trip. The XP2 film is really "Super". I love it. One day, I will have the M6 too.
