Hi guys,
Here's a few from my recent acquistion - a 35RC - $13 from KEH!

This one was shot indoors, with film that was way too slow. It was entirely guesswork, the meter wouldn't let me take a pic in this light so I went for f2.8, 1/15th, range focussed and hope for the best! It was certainly a different experience to what I'm used to.

I shot this one at 1/500th, aiming to underexpose the scene, and used a flash just right of camera to light Snuffa. I used the flashmatic mode for this - I'm impressed with how accurate the flash exposure is. I suspect the shutter speeds are slow though, as the background really should have been darker.

(apologies for the quality of the scans 😱 )

Anyway, I have a question:
occasionally, when outside in bright light, the camera won't let me take a photo in A-mode. As I press the shutter, I can see the aperture needle swing all the way left, past f2.8. I don't think my shutterspeeds were unreasonable for the circumstances (1/250th or so), so what gives?

Thanks guys 🙂

chikne - this was Kodacolor 200 VR or something like that - really cheap film. The look is partly due to using a flash and being able to underexpose the scene a touch, and partly due to the film. The crappy scan I did of the print didn't help either - the print itself looks quite natural, but still with very bold colours.

zuikologist and wallace - thanks guys, I'll look into both of those options.

I want to reskin the camera as soon as I can decide on which skin to go with - cameraleather.com has too many choices! I'm thinking either black griptac (it's a pretty slippery little bugger), or maybe bright blue leather. Thoughts?
