Here is another found slide. I am always fascinated by the neon-like attractiveness of the color saturation in these old slides - here the color temperature is affected by the flash…

Familial portraits also have a certain charm to them for me. Here, I would assume this was taken by someone in her immediate universe of people. Often, when a stranger takes the picture (as in a formal studio-like portrait) most of us have a tendency to put on our “out in public” face - here we see something else - almost a bit of irritation mixed with resigned submission to the inevitable.

When I look at the photograph in front of my computer screen, the figure really radiates light. In some ways, this work reminds me of the Cibachrome enlargements I would order from the lab in the 1980s.
