Does anyone know how to take off the film winder?

It looks like it should just lift off the shaft. You’ve already removed the screw holding it down. Maybe try using something to gently pry it off form the bottom of the knob.

I think there might be something more to it, I did it about 10 years ago but forgot.

It does look like it should lift straight up after removing the keeper screw, though it can hold on to the shaft pretty tightly. Gently wiggling it upward should work.

I need to adjust the rangefinder on mine one of these days.

got it. I just oiled and let it sit overnight
