Fresh coffee, new mug

Here's the real one, Roland. It was designed to be ambipotaceous and can hold tea as well as coffee.

How safe and firm is the gripping system? Wouldn't this mug benefit from a little vulcanite in the handle?

Imagine the possibilities... :)

BTW, Mukul, congratulations on the mug! :D

I'm going to start a poll to see if you guys think I should buy this mug in black chrome or black paint version. Or maybe a pre-worn and brassed version that will make me look like a seasoned pro coffe-drinker? It will mainly sit on my shelf but I want to look cool when I enter the coffee room at work with it.

I hate to break it to you Frank ... but I don't think even that mug will help with achieving "coolness." Do conduct the survey with your colleagues, though, and get back to us. :p :D

My friend has a coffee mug exactly like yours. In fact I’m selling it for him on ebay, seeing as he ain’t got no ebay account.
It appears to be in great condition, but please don’t ask me any questions. I don’t know squat about no coffee mugs.

Al Kaplan has received the mug I sent him, and he says that coffee tastes all right in it. When I asked him if he thought that a few RFF members might be willing to buy the things (for a price which I cannot mention here as this is not an ad), he said that was probable. He added that FED and Zorki mugs might also be saleable. I can do similar simple designs for them too, though that will involve hunting up the logos and then sizing them to the dimensions needed for the mugs. At the expense of time, "custom" designs are also possible.

Attached is a picture of both the mugs I have had made so far. Let the puns fly again.

One mug, one coffee, one year. This will make me a better coffe drinker. As long as it's the aspherical version.
They both look pretty good, actually.

Leica Mug = Chick Magnet

Leica Mug = Chick Magnet

Twice now I've taken my Leica Mug to Starbucks. They actually give you a few cents discount for supplying your own cup!

Even better , two women that I'd seen before came over and started conversations with me and we exchanged phone numbers! Thanks, Mukul.

Will there be a black paint version for those who prefer their coffee to be more cool?

It looks like that coffee mug has a pretty large aperture, so it should be able to hold enough coffee for those mornings where you are forced to use it in very low light.

That's one obvious advantage for the early mornings. Another huge benefit is the cokeh the large aperture produces. There's just something about the way it renders the out-of-taste areas.

By the way, Mukul, does the mug have a threaded hole in the bottom for a mugpod, for those shaky mornings?

In three days or so I should have another mug, same size and colours, but with "Leica" in somewhat smaller letters and no stripes at top and bottom. Watch the Less Than $100 ads. If a member can sell a Victorinox knife with "Leica" screen printed on it, I'd be a mug if I didn't try to sell mugs.

Are you going for the M9 to Mukul?

Wil be uploading my foto's soon, almost finished editing.
