I'm pretty excited about the rumored Fujifilm X-E2. Looks like they've made enough upgrades to the camera to the point that I would consider it "complete". I liked my X-E1, but the X-E2 looks really good.

Not really... seems like a very incremental upgrade to me.

The AF system, better LCD and full manual video are a pretty big deal to me, which is why I'm excited!

It is a nice upgrade from the xe1... But I am waiting to c what Fuji does w/ the xp1 upgrade.

if you're right and that's all the upgrades they made, then yes, I am excited because it means I'm saving $500 by not getting it and getting an xe1 instead 🙂
If on the other hand they squeezed a VF4 in there and reduced the coverglass on the sensor, then I'm getting an xe2.

I think I got the code right... its the latest and probably best EVF for this type of camera, same thing that leica uses.

I would be excited and would buy one if it had an OVF. But it doesn't... and I'm not.

sounds like a logical and very desireable upgrade. I'll have to see what I can get for the xe1 before I jump though... Probably will bite the bullet...I love the little darling so much ;🙂, I'll want to upgrade it.

Good solid incremental improvement. Not enough of a change from the X-E1 that I'd upgrade. That much improvement again in an X-E3 and I would probably upgrade.

Having the phase detect AF and the faster EVF refresh rate is probably enough for me to want to buy one. Maybe not a day one purchase, but probably one of those "wait for one of Fuji's sales" type of things.
Coming from an X-Pro1, I'm curious to what Fuji is planning to do with the next X-Pro, especially after Sony showed off the A7. If the next X-Pro is an incremental upgrade like the X-E, I may consider just buying an X-E2 and keeping the X100 for OVF.

Personally, I'd only be excited if it had a few more MP. There's a huge difference between the output of my X100 (12mp) and 5D III (22mp). I make big prints and 16mp just is not enough compared to what else is available on the market. Although more expensive, the new Sony Alpha line is going to have a massive impact on the market and for a pro to have a two body kit of the A7 and A7R, so with flexibility on AF and resolution, and use Leica glass... and Canon (and I'm in both systems). Wow.
I had been thinking about the Xpro 2 (assuming it had maybe 24mp), but now think I'll sell my X100 and a few other bits and pieces and jump into bed with Sony. They're offering exactly what I have been waiting for.

I hardly use the OVF of my pro. I do need faster AF. If it is fast enough I'll ditch my Canons🙂

I'm a fairly new X-E1 use (long term X100), I love the camera and the lenses. As I got mine refurbished from Fuji UK for a very good price I don't think the improvements in the X-E2 are worth the extra money. I'm hoping that future firmware updates to the X-E1 will make it even better (as with the latest X100 update).
