Fuji X100 now in stock at Amazon

5 available at 8 AM. One for $1,799, two for $1,900, one for $2,400 and one for $4,000.

But the dealer selling his for $4,000 only charges $5.99 for shipping <G>

Madness!

Yeah, they are not a trustworthy company IMHO. Been duped by them before, selling used as new, etc.

I tried the Amazon page a few times. Twice it came up as in stock for the regular price, but when I went to "add to cart" it told me it was no longer in stock. Either a hiccup in the system or it appears and sells out extremely quickly.

Picked mine up at "The Imaging Depot" in Ogden, UT for $1199.95. Really cool local camera store. They said they had 2 more in stock. They don't have online ordering but are happy to take phone orders - (801) 781-2335. Awesome camera, can't wait to do some shooting today.

Good on you! Support your local honest not price gouging camera store! :)

Local store

Local store

My local camera store has 2/3 available. Even had a demo to play with.
servicephoto.com, great people, and you out of state don't have to pay tax. They are in Baltimore, MD.
You can call them up. I usually talk to Jack/Burke.

Let's see how soon they'll go.

I'll recommend Service Photo too. I've not been to their store, but I bought a camera from them on eBay, and they were very stand-up when something went wrong with it. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Early adopter premium - always a supply-and-demand thing. Are RFF'ers jumping at the $1,500-1,600 prices I am seeing? Just interested to know whether lust for the camera overcomes the early $1,100 price point.

At this kind of pace they might just as well move to selling them on ration cards.

Yes, they have an ebay store (service photo that is), but I think for the X100 you'll be competing with the market.
The store have them for MSRP.
