I was about to post this same question before I saw yours. Except with X-t1. I am leaning towards A7 simply because I would always have a niggling curiosity of what it would be like without the need for metabones. Not an easy decision because I prefer the Fuji brand, and I think the X cameras are more mature.
I've been thinking about the xt1 as well. I've pretty much put the a7 out of my head. At this point, I think I would rather have a workable evf then full frame. The only thing that is holding me back is that I know that sticking with Fuji is basically throwing money away. The business policy that I set upon myself is that I can only buy a (digital) body if sell a (digital) body. And we all know that the xt1 is going to be worth half it's current value in less then a year. This fact kills me. But I'm so sick of ****ty evfs. My eyes have been getting exponentially worse in the past couple of years, and all the talk of the xt1's evf is really alluring. I'm looking forward to more really world reviews as people start getting the camera in-hand...
In regards to the metabones adapter, I'm quite happy with it and don't mind using it. With most of my nikon glass they give me near identical results as they did on my ff nikon bodies. My only regret with aps-c is that I can't use my m-mount glass to their fullest extent.
