~ very little I would have thought, seeing as you can't buy the G1 body only and the lens isn't useful on any other camera as yet ~

agreed, the only reason someone would want one is if they wanted to do some home made lens adapter what not. Is there any kit lenses for sale on the bay? That is about all I could guess for getting in idea for the price but dont expect a lot.

Someone would buy it if they have damaged the original lens and need to replace it. Panasonic isn't selling the lens standalone yet. That's the only use I can think of for buying the lens ala carte.

Well, my dealer was willing to sell me a body only for $60 Cdn less than the whole package. I ended up getting another kit (for a second body), figuring that for $60 I'd just keep the lens for the eventuality of selling the body as a kit.
