I have spent a lot of time at sea. They are excellent - they really capture the tension, boredom, danger and strangeness of being out on a cold sea in a fishing boat. Although I don't aim for or use this type of tonality in my own work, I really like it.

The only slight negatives are that the scans need a lot of cleaning up - there is dust and some scratched on them and there seem to be some processing artefacts on the 120 shots, and that there is a bit too much motion blur for me in the below deck shots. I'd recommend taking some Delta 3200 or TMZ too next time.

Yes, what I plan to do, neopan 1600 😀

My scanner is a bit tired making some lines when it is too hot, but I will print the best ones with the enlarger 😀

Your are quite true, a very strange atmosphere on a trawler, sometimes in the hurry, with a lot to do and sometimes nothing to do, just waiting, mooking the sea and boats passing around 🙂

all in all, when I was on board I felt far far far away from all the trouble of my dailylife

Very nice shots, Cyrille! I particularly liked the last three that you posted. The exposures/tones are better balanced. I really like the composition in #60, but it looks like the highlights are a little blown. The images are very contrasty to my eyes, which gives an interesting effect.
 
In fact #60 is shot at 3200

fantastic light but not easy, morning light, 6 in the morning, deep deep shadow and very bright sky

I had to make a choise and I would have prefered a less contrasty light, sometime exposure can be a nightmare 😀
 
I love the tonality and general look of these shots! I didn't see what film you're using (only took a cursory look at the earlier posts), but I love the look; seems like it was `drawn' with a thick black pen, very cool.

Great captures here. I don't know, but maybe if you can manage to organize them
somehow you can give them a new form, a project. Anyway, the last one is impressive.
